This blog relies on reader donations

Raising awareness for mental health is a labor of love, but it is a labor nonetheless. This work is emotionally draining and mentally taxing. It takes time and considerable effort to produce a diverse array of quality content. Sometimes, I will spend weeks researching for a single deep dive article. It takes hours upon hours to prune an essay to make it fit for public consumption.

I have invested my personal income into this site. I pay fees for domain names, hosting (through an eco friendly company), and third-party plugins that help make this site more user friendly. I designed Digging to Roam entirely myself and continue to redesign and tweak it on a regular basis.

Articles I have published on other platforms have been paid for by those platforms, but the articles that are original to Digging to Roam are written for free and published for free and available for you and anyone else to read for free. As of yet, I haven't accepted any offers for product placements, advertisements, or sponsored posts. I want to keep it that way, which is why I ask for those who have the means to contribute to funding this site.

Your donation goes directly to keeping this site running. For this site to exist, and for the mental illness awareness and advocacy work that stretches beyond this site to continue, I have to be able to support myself. As this site grows I have to be able to afford turning down paid work to give it the TLC it needs.

*January 2018 update, affiliate links are now on this site, but limited and only to products I personally love or that I or someone I know and trust have found transformative.

One time contributions can happen easily through Paypal.

Or gift me an ebook from this Amazon wish list to help my research.

Still curious? Read more about why I ask for contributions. Check out that post here.
